"This ship has a deep range between 3 and 5 metres. Lifejackets will be exclusively on order of captain. To jump into the sea, cross his legs, and suppress the airway. There are baskets in the seats, please spread the garbage there." I love this safety video!
Harry very kindly offered us breakfast this morning, assuring us it was no problem serving at 5.30. It was nice to get something to eat before our ferry journey considering the lack of food last time, but I noticed Harry didn't get up to serve it himself. Ray knocked on our door at about 5am. We weren't planning to get up until 5.15 but those 15 minutes were rather useful for applying Eurax to my hives.
So we arrived at the ferryport around 6am, feeling quite alright since we'd gone to bed so early and had food and milky coffee before leaving. We're really getting the hand of the whole thing, knowing in advance to sign in my penknife etc. The crazy metal detector decided there was metal in my ankles and the security man was intrigued by Mum's Swiss card, but he seemed to like it so much he let her through with it. Otherwise everything was a-okay, and the wait was less frustrating when you were expecting it.
We're on the ferry now, zooming across the Batabano Gulf thingy. We're just going through the patch with the pretty blue water - I wish I could go for a swim here. It's gorgeous.
